Van Couenhoven-2 and Van Couwenhoven-92 appear to represent the same person because: Duplicate, same father, difference in LNAB spelling explained in Long Island Families

Hi Judith,

The source on Frances Van Couwenhoven-91's profile which mentions Samuel indicates that he is a child of Frances, probably born to a woman Frances was not married to (ie. natural son) and sometime before 1749 when the Will was probated.

Other than the name being the same, is there any evidence that Samuel mentioned in the Will is the man represented by this profile who was born about 1700

Is there evidence that it wasn't the man presently linked here as a son who was born about 1738, or the Samuel of your family knowledge born in 1734.
